Official information updated .
Who can play?
The service is intended for people outside mainland China who are at least 18 and legally adults where they live. Access depends on regional restrictions and local law. Fictional city locations do not indicate where the service is offered.
Do I need to install anything?
No installation or browser plugin is required. JavaScript and an internet connection are required. The interface supports desktop and mobile browsers. English is the default; language can be changed in the in-game Settings.
How do accounts and cloud saves work?
New email registrations require a verification code. You can also sign in with Google where available. Use the same account to continue your cloud save on another device. Existing username accounts remain supported and can verify a recovery email in Settings.
A verified email is the primary email login identifier. A first Google sign-in can reuse an account with the same trusted, verified Google email. Two existing accounts with separate progress are not automatically combined or overwritten.
Can I reset my password?
Choose Forgot password on the sign-in screen and use the email verified on your account. Codes expire after 10 minutes. Older accounts without a verified email can use their previously generated recovery code. Never share a password or verification code with support.
Is the game free?
Your first character's gameplay and cloud saves are free. When checkout is available, you can make an optional one-time purchase of an additional independent character slot. You do not need that purchase to continue the first life. Read the current checkout description, Terms and Refund Policy before purchasing.
Where should a new player start?
Use the first-session guide to choose a goal and plan a manageable day. Check the desktop and mobile browser requirements, or learn how to find a job and follow an interview. The player guide index groups more answers by topic.
What changes when I move to another city?
The map has 39 fictionalized cities with local career tracks, community encounters, products and different building palettes, density and park coverage. Local career listings rotate, and one entry-level local role remains available. Career filters include industry, experience, available positions and pay. Local roles use trade-specific interview cases. Moving changes living costs and job opportunities; a fictional destination never changes your account or table eligibility.
How do shopping and equipment work?
Purchases enter the Bag. Food and drinks are consumed when used; ordinary durable-item bonuses have a daily limit. Workbooks share a seven-game-day skill-gain cooldown. Equipment can reduce commute time or weather exposure, and furnishings affect the room and rest. Cameras, instruments, local craft kits, a laptop and a cooking station also unlock activities in the Life journal. Local food, drinks and craft products are sold only in their home city. Selling returns a fraction of the purchase price and removes access to activities requiring that equipment.
Where should I start?
Choose a first chapter: earn a first wage, furnish a personal corner, create and display a work, or begin a shared story with a local. Each chapter has three steps based on actual actions. The daily agenda routes you to the next step; completing a chapter displays a free keepsake at home. Longer life paths remain available from All life paths.
Can I preview room looks?
Open Room & wardrobe in the Bag or Settings, or Personalize at home. Previewing changes no money, time or equipment. Free room colors, outfits and a fern decoration can be applied to your current lodging. The optional Supporter Pack costs US$3 before tax, once per account: it supports the independent developer and includes an extra independent character slot, the New York loft look, Denim and Evening outfit colors, and Skyline miniature and Record corner decorations. Cosmetics provide no stat, income, space or odds advantage. Existing extra-slot buyers receive them without another purchase. A refund restores base looks and locks the extra slot while retaining its save.
What happens during a workday?
The clock takes your character through commute and workplace scenes. Occupation changes the workplace setting. Focus, a longer break and smoking have different energy, mood, money or health consequences and daily limits. Finishing the shift advances the clock; wages still follow normal daily settlement. Workplace deductions are fictional game mechanics. At home, property size and furnishings change the room; neighbour visits, hobbies, repairs and sleep use the same game clock.
What is in the Life journal?
The Journal location tab shows current work projects, contacts, home conditions, city activities, hobby commissions and the consequences of recent choices. Work projects have three stages with a ten-game-day deadline. Careful work improves quality and supervisor trust; rushing saves energy at the expense of quality and trust. Completed projects can earn a one-time bonus. Sufficient experience, trust, reputation and skills can unlock a specialist route or promotion within the same career track.
How do hobbies and community contacts develop?
Prepare a portfolio, accept a local commission and return with the required equipment to deliver within four game days. Paid commissions have a seven-game-day cooldown after delivery. Local specialties, seasons and trusted contacts can improve the fictional payment. Digital studio work requires a home of at least 60 square metres arranged as a studio. Cooking consumes local meals as ingredients, crafts use paid supplies and outdoor photography depends on the weather.
Neighbours, colleagues and workshop hosts remain in your relationships after you meet them. Friendship and remembered trust can lead to invitations. You may accept or politely decline. Only an accepted invitation creates a promise whose absence can reduce friendship. Keeping a promise can unlock client introductions.
What should I do next?
The life-path strip tracks career, home, creative and relationship milestones. Select a path to see its next step and open the relevant activity. Progress follows actual actions and stays recorded after completion; milestones do not grant extra money. In room scenes, marked objects open activities directly. The journal shows project steps and relationship or home details, with longer rules available to expand.
Why do home layouts and repairs matter?
A rest layout improves sleep, a social layout improves neighbour interactions and a studio layout enables digital commissions when there is enough space. Only one layout is active. The occupied home's condition declines gradually; damaged fixtures can disturb sleep. Repair materials restore condition and a toolkit makes repairs more effective. Repairs are available only when something actually needs fixing. Rearranging and repairing cost game time and energy.
Can my choices continue into another day?
The Stories section contains six optional two-part stories about work, neighbours, repairs, community shows and workshop materials. Follow-ups become available two game days after your first choice. Return to the original city and, for workplace or home stories, the original job or home. Each choice shows its time, costs and effects. You can close an opportunity or let it expire without an automatic penalty; money already spent is not refunded. The same story cannot return for at least 21 game days.
Can I keep or use my own creations?
A first portfolio piece and personal practice create owned works in My works, with storage for 20. Paid commission deliveries belong to the client. Personal practice shares the daily hobby limit and is unavailable while that activity has an active commission. Prepared servings can be eaten during lunch and have a use-by day three days after preparation. Other works can be displayed at home for an extra unwind mood benefit. You can give one work per day to a chosen local contact. Giving, eating or discarding a work removes it from your collection and any home display. Discarding asks for confirmation. Workshop-story inspiration can improve the next created work within seven days, up to quality three.
Are seasons and holidays realistic?
The game uses a simplified calendar beginning on January 1, 2024. Northern and southern seasons differ, and tropical cities use wet and less-wet periods. Selected community celebrations add festive lights and rest days for some schedules. This is not a complete public-holiday calendar or a statement of local employment rules. Seasonal weather and commute duration can affect your character's mood and energy.
Do the tables involve real money?
Tables use only fictional in-game currency with no deposits, withdrawals, redemption or real-world prizes. Access requires being at least 21, meeting the local legal age, being in a supported region and accepting separate table rules. Availability is checked by the server; access does not constitute legal advice or permission under local law. See the full table eligibility and restrictions.
How do I report a problem or manage my data?
Open Settings in the game and choose Feedback to report a bug, translation issue or suggestion. Avoid including passwords or sensitive personal information. Account data export and deletion are also available in Settings. Details and retention periods are in the Privacy Policy.
